OPEN YOUR EYES

Open your eyes to the millions of lies that they tell you everyday.
Open you mind to the clever disguise that the advertisements say.
How do they know what’s good 4 u?
Wake up, wake up!
Give them a shot to the head because they’re better off dead.
Will you wake up?

Destroy all the land, and kill what you can, just to make the profits rise.
They sell you from birth for all that you’re worth, the money spreads like lies.
And how do they know what’s good 4 u?

Don’t wanna hate you.
Don’t wanna blame it all on you.
We’re out of options.
If you don’t look I’ll force you to.
Wake up, wake up!
They take a shot to the head just so you can be fed.
Will you wake up?
Open your eyes…

DEVELOPING YOUR CHARACTER

Character Name: Clover
Occupation: Waitress at a Café
Age: 20 years old

On the afternoon of her 2nd day at work, the Casa Blue, Clover was very sleepy yet alert. But all of a sudden, she noticed a stunning and handsome man enter through the front door. He was tall, dark and handsome, and also very attractive. He wore a fancy suit that matched well with his brown hair.

When she took his order, she found herself blushing before him. Then, she turned around quickly and walked away-- hoping that he didn’t see her light red face. But he didn’t notice, so he took a sip of his warm coffee and then continued reading a brand new newspaper.

She delivered the food 5 minutes later, “Here ‘ya go, sir.” She said quickly in a sort of nervous voice. But her soft smile had captured the mans attention.

“Hey, you have a nice smile.” He stated firmly. She found herself smiling a lot more and she thanked him then left the table. That made her day.

Clover is a kind girl who hopes to bring only positive things into this world. She is constantly making people happy with her nice attitude.

She always has her hair up and wears little make up since she has a clear complexion and bright, big eyes. Also, she always wears a warm smile on her face which brings joy to various people and/or customers.

Clover is skilled at playing tennis and soccer. And she’s also fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian. Next she plans to attend classes for Korean. Clover wants to graduate college. Although she’s not sure what her career will be, she’s sure that she wants it to be in the medical and/or psychology field.

Setting

For my setting I inspected my Neighborhood Streets:
I hear the infamous Ice Cream Truck ranting loudly down the background.
I hear obnoxiously loud (yet entertaining) music that the next door neighbors constantly play.
I hear very annoying sirens in the background.
I hear a door that slaps furiously as my mother arrives home as a "thwomp."
I hear soft and calming sounds that come silently from rustling trees all around me.

I see a beautiful clear, blue sky which will not last very long.
I see dark brown trees that rest motionless on the various sidewalks and lawns.
I see my polite neighbors skating, walking thier dogs, ect, all through out the neighborhood which is their daily routine.
I see my younger sister confidently singing along to one of her favorite songs.
I see a yellow school bus that is filled with children who are excited to return home.

I taste the crisp bubbly liquid otherwise known as Arizona flowing down my throat.
I taste the moist yet fresh air that usually passes by at this time.
I taste the explosion of joyful flavor that comes from my vegan icecream.
I taste an odd salty sensation and I have no idea where it came from.
I taste an exotic flavor that came from my moms cooking -- its neither bad nor satisfactory.

I feel the soft wind that carreses my face as it passes by.
I feel the damp wood bench seat underneath me.
I feel a cold coat of water that drenches my hands because I washed them.
I feel the rough ground under my feet since I had decided to take off my shoes and socks.
I feel butterflies throughout my stomach which reminds me that I am hungry.

I smell the natural leaves and plants as they shake and exist.
I smell a light fragrant the comes from my friends purfume.
I smell a smell that reveals to me that my sister is preparing a sandwich full of lettuce, tomatoe, ham, mustard, and wheat bread.
I smell a fresh, crisp breeze that quickly passed by.
I smell the sickening exhaust fumes that burn from the back of cars.

Response To Lyrics

Song: Together We Make a Promise
Artist: Cori Yarckin

Song:
In our never ending journey
The road has split apart
A chapter closes in our story
From finish to a start
And even though it feels like the end, my friend
You know it's only the beginning
It's the beginning...

Together we'll make a promise
To never forget it all
We've only scratched the surface
Of worlds we'll come to know
Together moving forward
Even though we're far apart
So safe and sound inside our hearts
We keep our word until we are together once again

And if you hear me in a raindrop
I'm not that far away
You can see in your reflection
Another side of me
And even though we say goodbye, goodbye
We will never be alone
No we're not alone...

Together we'll make a promise
To never forget it all
We've only scratched the surface
Of worlds we'll come to know
Together moving forward
Even though we're far apart
So safe and sound inside our hearts
We keep our word until we are together once again

So goodbye to you
And everything we went through
We made it to the ending and
The other side of the moon
Goodbye to you
We'll hold on to the memories
Of the good times

Together we'll make a promise

Response:
This song is an amazing song! I love it so much. The first time that I listened to it was last year during the ending of a movie. Ever since then, I've loved it so much and I hardly ever get tired of this song.

Cori Yarcking is a talented singer. I believe that this song reflects her views and the way that she thinks because it really does fit her personallity. She is courageous and kind. In addition, this song fits her perfectly well and she is best suited to sing it.

In conclusion, this is one of my most favorite songs. The lyrics are simply amazing and it contains a true message within. It describes the bond that two friends have between eachther -- and although they must go their seperate ways, nothing can ever tear apart their promise that they keep to one another. In other words, simply magnificient!! :)
